Sha’Carri Richardson and Cardi B recently had their nails done together, and Cardi described Richardson as a “lit girl.” Cardi is looking forward to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, which begin on Friday, July 26, like many others. The “Bongos” rapper, however, had the opportunity to interact with one of Team USA’s most talented athletes, offering words of encouragement during their manicure session.
You’re unique because you’re the world’s quickest lady. “She’s a real lit girl,” Cardi said to Richardson during an NBC broadcast that promoted the network’s coverage of the Olympics. “I would like to hang out, chill, be cool, and just be like a girl with you!” Cardi added.
Richardson, a strong candidate for the 100-meter gold medal in Paris after missing the 2021 Tokyo Games because of a positive marijuana test, seemed truly moved by Cardi’s praise.
Cardi may be looking back on her career as she continues to tease her much-awaited follow-up to her 2018 debut album, Invasion of Privacy, when she says, “I’m proud of you, seriously, because you came back stronger than ever with your talent.” “You have changed.”
Richardson blushed at the compliment and said, “Enough about me. As Miss Cardi B, you seem to have the same influence on others as you say you inspire them. You inspire so many people just by being yourself.
Cardi B in tears
Cardi nearly broke down in tears during this touching moment. They continued to respect each other’s fortitude and tenacity as she expressed her satisfaction with Richardson’s accomplishments. Cardi remarked, “You nearly left, but this is what you love.”
“And I can’t give up what I love because of how other people make me feel; rapping is what I love.” For Cardi B to have new songs to exercise to, Richardson then pushed her to complete her upcoming album. Richardson declared, “I need my race day album.” “Some new music is what I need!”
Cardi B left the conversation feeling “inspired” and “warm” from Richardson’s upbeat energy, even though she didn’t share any information about her album. ” The vitality… Cardi B sobbed as she said, “Girl, I feel it.” “You are truly unique. You are truly unique; you are more than just an athlete. Then the two women gave each other a passionate embrace.
Cardi shared the video on X along with the motivational caption, “I’m wishing @itsshacarri a lot of luck! Your words and energy are so powerful that they made me feel a lot of emotions. I find it encouraging how you have grown despite people trying to ignore you. You are a SUPERHERO, not just a sportsperson. You’re already a legend, so I’m excited to watch where you go in the next ten years.
Like everyone else, Richardson is looking forward to Cardi’s upcoming songs, but she’s also generating waves on her own. She won the 100-meter world championship last year, and last month she won the U.S. trials with a world-season-best time of 10.71.
