Richardson is making her way back to Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, for the 2023 Diamond League Final, just a little over two months after clinching her first U.S. title on the same track.
The women’s 100m competition is anticipated to be fiercely competitive, with Richardson going head-to-head with Elaine Thompson-Herah, the two-time reigning Olympic champion in the event from Jamaica, and her teammate and world silver medallist, Shericka Jackson.
Notable sprinters such as Marie-Josee Ta Lou from Côte d’Ivoire and Dina Asher-Smith from Great Britain will also be vying for top honors.
The women’s 100m race is scheduled to be one of the closing events of the Diamond League day, commencing at 13:40 local time (PDT) in Eugene.
