In the ongoing international fixtures, Paris Saint-Germain is set to have numerous players taking part, among them being defender Milan Škriniar. The 28-year-old is set to represent Slovakia in the 2024 UEFA Euro qualifying match against Portugal in Match Day 5.
Škriniar, who holds the position of a central defender at PSG, is tasked with the formidable challenge of leading the defense against the potent Portuguese offense, which is spearheaded by the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo. Despite Ronaldo’s age of 38 and his departure from his prime years, Škriniar maintains profound respect for Ronaldo’s skills and abilities.

MILAN SKRINIAR (Slovakia defender):
“Everyone knows Cristiano Ronaldo. He is an amazing and incredible goalscorer and it is difficult to play against him. He can score a goal with every part of his body, but I believe we will stop him with our team efforts.” pic.twitter.com/vMM4XdDzXy
Škriniar stated, “Cristiano Ronaldo is widely recognized as an extraordinary and prolific goal scorer, making it a demanding task to thwart his attacks.
He possesses the ability to score with any part of his body, but I believe that by working together as a team, we can effectively contain him.”
A victory for Slovakia against Portugal at Tehelné Pole on Friday would elevate them to the top of Group J, with five more matchdays remaining in the qualifiers. With a total of 10 points secured from four matchdays, Škriniar and his fellow teammates now have a clearly defined path towards representing their nation in international football.
Slovakia is presently occupying the second position, enjoying a three-point lead over Luxembourg in the qualification standings for next year’s Euros. Nevertheless, a victory on Friday would further bolster Slovakia’s campaign to secure a coveted spot in the prestigious international tournament.
