Lionel Messi, the renowned soccer star, has solidified his dedication to remaining in one place by procuring an expansive waterfront mansion in Fort Lauderdale for $10.75 million, a fact confirmed by the real estate agents involved in the deal on Monday.
Messi, who has three sons with Antonela Roccuzzo, a well-known social media influencer and model from Argentina, is now the delighted owner of a sprawling estate spanning 10,500 square feet. This remarkable property comprises 8 bedrooms, 9.5 bathrooms, a three-car garage, and a pool.
In the process of acquiring this residence, Messi was skillfully represented by Samuel and Donna Simpkin from Compass Florida. This impressive estate is located within a cul-de-sac and boasts an impressive 170 feet of waterfront in the Bay Colony community. It’s noteworthy to mention that in 2021, Patrick Bet-David, an author and social media influencer, reportedly set a community record by purchasing a $20.4 million mansion in the same area.

The state-of-the-art dwelling, situated on slightly less than half an acre, features two boat docks, a spa, a fitness area, and a spacious 1,600-square-foot primary bedroom. It is anticipated that the yearly property taxes for this mansion will total $83,400.
Earlier this year, Messi secured an extraordinary 2.5-year contract with Inter Miami, which was rumored to be worth as much as $150 million in total. This comprehensive package included elements like his salary, signing bonus, team equity, and speculated revenue-sharing deals with Apple and Adidas. Forbes placed him as the second-highest-earning athlete of the year, estimating his earnings at approximately $130 million from May 2022 to 2023.
The recent acquisition of his new mansion represents just the latest addition to his remarkable real estate portfolio. Remarkably, he also procured an entire ninth floor in the opulent Regalia condominium development in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, for a reported $7.3 million.
Furthermore, Messi is reported to have owned, and perhaps still possesses, a $7 million estate near Barcelona, a $5 million condominium in Miami, and an extensive property in his hometown of Rosario, Argentina, which boasts a 15-car garage, a theater, and a gym, as detailed by Architectural Digest.

Messi is not the only notable figure who has recently established a residence in South Florida. According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, who was formerly married to Tom Brady, has acquired a property in Southwest Ranches, Florida, for just over $9 million.
Her extensive 7.5-acre estate includes a 5,200-square-foot residence, two equestrian arenas, a stocked fishing pond, and a regulation-sized soccer field. Chad Bishop of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty shared with the WSJ that Bündchen plans to have horses, chickens, and other farm animals on the premises. Southwest Ranches is situated approximately 25 miles away from Messi’s newly chosen neighborhood.
