The summer transfer window in the world of football is always an exciting time, filled with rumors, speculations, and unexpected twists. One of the most talked-about sagas this summer was the potential transfer of French superstar Kylian Mbappé to Spanish giants Real Madrid. While the transfer didn’t come to fruition, it sparked the curiosity of many fans and players alike. Among those players was Real Madrid’s very own midfielder, Aurélien Tchouaméni, who shared his candid reaction to the Mbappé saga.
Aurélien Tchouaméni, engaged in a detailed conversation with the French media outlet CANAL+. The 23-year-old discussed his decision to decline Paris Saint-Germain’s offer when the Spanish club showed interest. However, the topic naturally shifted to Kylian Mbappé.
During the summer, there were rumors linking Los Blancos to the Frenchman, especially after he chose not to extend his contract until 2025.

Nonetheless, the transfer didn’t materialize. As a result, Tchouaméni expressed his disappointment about not seeing the PSG star join Real Madrid.
“Did I anticipate Mbappé’s arrival in Madrid? Certainly,” Tchouaméni mentioned.
“The top players belong here, and he’s undeniably one of them. Unfortunately, it didn’t come to pass.”
However, the La Liga team remains determined in their pursuit of the 24-year-old winger. Real Madrid will be able to commence initial contract discussions with the player in January, given that his current contract runs until June 2024, offering the chance to secure his services for the 2024-25 season.
The ongoing Mbappé transfer saga has been a rollercoaster of rumors, rendering it difficult to predict the final result. Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, the 2018 FIFA World Cup champion has started the season in outstanding form, displaying his exceptional goal-scoring abilities.
