Schlupp’s volley tested Everton’s goalkeeper, giving Palace, keen to build on their previous triumph over Brentford, the first opportunity. With Virgínia in goal, Everton’s starting lineup includes Coleman, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko, Garner, Onana, McNeil (who was replaced by Gomes at 89 minutes), Harrison, Calvert-Lewin, and Danjuma (who was replaced by Beto at 80 minutes).
Everton has Patterson, Keane, Godfrey, Chemetri, Hunt, and Dobbin available as substitutes, and Pickford is the team’s backup goalkeeper.
